Kushtrim Salihu, M.D., originates his roots in Ferizaj, Kosovo. He obtained his medical degree with honors from University of Prishtina School of Medicine in 2015. Shortly after he immigrated in USA to join his wife in Kentucky, an Albanian refuge from 1999 War in Kosova. Early in 2019 he received the ECFMG certificate in US after completing successfully all steps and exams for US medical licensing. His work experience include positions as clinical research protocol coordinator at University of Lexington, Kentucky and clinical research coordinator in cardiology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital.
He is father of two children and is very dedicated in raising a healthy Albanian-American family in USA. His ultimate goal is to obtain residency training in medicine and eventually practice in his own. As part of this position, he has committed to provide the public with answers pertaining to what AAMS offers to community of professionals and patients at large in USA and back in homeland.
