Jurgen Tabaku earned his Bachelors Degree in Film and Video from Stevenson University in 2009 and an Associates Degree in Accounting from Montgomery College, MD in 2015.

 

While pursuing his passion of moving images, Jurgen worked at the prestigious Walter Reed Army Institute of Research and the Navy Medical Research Center for almost a decade in the Department of Medical Audio-Visual Services. While there, Jurgen assisted medical scientists in their ground breaking research of vaccine and drug development for the warrior. With the use of High Speed Phantom cameras plus Micro Photography and Videography in assisting scientists to further developing their research, Jurgen also worked with the Public Affairs Office to create content for in house and social networks.

Jurgen Co-Founded BeSTEM! Summer Camp, a Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM) summer camp based in Maryland that focuses on project based learning week-long summer camps. The camp incorporates technology in getting young kids engaged in the world of STEM through camps in robotics, engineering, and drones. As a socially responsible enterprise, BeSTEM! Summer Camp offers over 30 scholarships to under served and under privileged students every year.

Currently Jurgen owns and operates a real estate investment company with 4 properties throughout Maryland. When not answering tenants calls, Jurgen lives in Annapolis, Maryland with his wife, Anastasiia, and two Siberian Huskies, Nala and Simba. In his spare time, Jurgen enjoys working on his garden, exploring nature, flying drones, and wood working.
