Irida Hasalla Molla, MD completed her medical school at Tirana University School of Medicine, Tirana, Albania in 2006. After her graduation she served as the Director of Reproductive Health Department in her native country. Shortly after, Dr. Molla immigrated in the States where she successfully converted her medical school diploma to the ECFMG certificate followed by completion of Internal Medicine training and chief residency at St. Barnabas Hospital, Bronx, NY. From the Intern through the chief residency year, Dr. Molla was awarded for Excellence in Teaching, Excellence in Interpersonal and Communication Skills, System Based Practice, Practice Based Learning and Improvement, and 1st Place for Clinical Research Poster at St. Barnabas Annual Resident Research Day.
She held posts of attending Internist and Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at St. Barnabas Hospital, Bronx, NY. Her publications are focused on Infectious Disease topics. Starting in July 1st, 2013 she commenced a 3 year fellowship training in infectious diseases at Westchester Medical Center/New York Medical College.
Dr. Molla’s professional affiliations include the American College of Physicians, the Infectious Disease Society of America and Albanian American Medical Society.
